We're here to share real stories, challenges, victories, and opportunities around community-based childcare to inspire people to talk and take action. Our mission: Bring people together to create new solutions that make a difference in the lives of families around the world. By shining a light on industry leaders and community heroes, we can learn from each other and make childcare better for everyone. And by sharing knowledge, building coalitions, and connecting communities, we can drive change.

Fix Childcare is a project envisioned and brought to life by Carefully—which includes our mobile platform for childcare, the co-op, and this site—to honor the communities that we serve, surface and learn from their stories, and connect with each other.

 

Carefully is on a mission to make the world better through community, care, and mutualism (the idea that giving and receiving creates a stronger community). By building a strong network of co-ops, family networks, and childcare swaps, we're helping families save money, get back to work, and have more time for the things that matter. Our mobile platform makes it easy for parents to connect with people they trust for childcare, playdates, and events, all while keeping community and care at the heart of everything we do.

At the heart of Fix Childcare, we hold the same six core values that guide all aspects of Carefully’s work:
